Today, climate change makes saving water and energy a top priority for all of us especially if we have a garden or even a farm and need to control irrigation and lighting systems. This program allows you to control up to 24 different systems or appliances to turn on and off at specific times. This way, you won't need to worry about turning on or off the cooling or heating systems at home, or if you have a garden or a farm, you can set times to start and stop irrigating, turning on and off sunlight lamps, and so on. The program itself is simple to use. You only need to select the port of your computer to which additional hardware such as solenoids and sensors are connected. You can use an old computer's parallel, serial or printer ports to connect such hardware. Once you have selected the port, you can set up to 8 outputs and 5 inputs. You can edit the tags to identify which system or appliance is controlled by each input/output, as well as set the starting hour, the time during which the device will be on, and the days of the week you want it to run. It is a very easy process.
The main disadvantage is that you need to connect the aforementioned hardware to the computer's ports. Also, the program does not include further instructions about the exact type of hardware or how to install it.
The shareware version has limited functions and can be used during 30 days. Also, a "nag screen" appears when you open different functions. If you find the program useful and want to get rid of these limitations, then you will need to purchase a license.
